..people think it's a country.

Anyway, my family is currently on a tour/trip to Ireland and Scotland, I'll be paraphrasing a journal I wrote during the long bus rides, cataloging things such as differences.

Ch.1: "The Limo Rocking the Bungee Chord"
Dad booked us this groovy limo to get us to the airport, to, y'know, avoid leaving our car there.
Problem was it was small, hot, sticky leather, and all our suitcases didn't fit so that severely limited our legroom. But yeah, Dad saved the day. We were the limo rockin the bungee chord, that kinda ruins any cool factor left..Broken TV, no drinks, fail.
Oh, and to top it off, Emily made us some of what we call "limonade" (AKA, barf) Lucky we found a sammich bag in time. >.<;
They had an A&W Restauraunt with rootbeer ON TAP, this makes up for everything so far.

Ch.2: "Not a wink of sleep, Reversi rulez."

7 Hour plane ride? Awesome! Jetlag? Awesome! Not a wink of sleep and getting crushed by easy difficulty Reversi computer? Awesome! ..You get the picture. It's 5 hours ahead, my cell's set for here, my compy is still new york time.
Our tour guide forgot to mention his name till about 10 mins into the tour of Glasgow. Hi George.
Immediate observation time, steering wheel's on the right, most cars are stickshifts, no american cars, licence plates are thin and yellow, George liked to ramble about how to read them to figure out what year and blahblah, nobody cared tbh. Speaking of nobody, everybody else is OLD COUPLES and junk. NO OTHER KIDS RAGERAGE. Moving on: All the buildings look hunderds of years old! Chances are, they are. Certain streets are ' pedestrianized' like, no cars. Neato. Sidewalks are double-width, and they're called 'footpaths'. Stopsigns are red and round with a white [-] in it. Stores close uber early, like 6.
Down on light swtiches turns lights ON. And outlats need to be switched [down] on as well. Toilet hole thing was ginormous, in big sis's words "You could shove a turtle down that thing!" also, flusher on the right. Lefties got shafted imo. Did I mention the brogue? It's their accent, long a sound= a y sound and such. Kinda tough at first but y'get used to it. Bonus: It seems to rain about every three hours, no joke. It's even colder than NY. The kicker? I brought no full-length pants. xD;

Ch.3: "Nachos for breakfast"
You never learn to appreciate the simplicity of American food till you've been to other countries on an adult oriented tour with likewise food. D; Boring transportation museum. (at least they're free) Made use of the currency converter on my phone to see we were completely ripped off eating at the hotel bar. 69 dollar fail. Kathryn astutely observed that 90% of europeans carry backpacks everywhere. Also, TO LET=FOR RENT and GIVE WAY=YEILD

Ch.4: "Blowin Nessie Outta the Water?"
Visited the 3 largest loch's in Scotland, the largest being Loch Ness. Yeah, we went to see nessie AND I GOT PICS HURR HURR. There's a METRIC CRAPTON of Nessie merchandice. Lot of postcards, plushies, and such of this fuzzy emo bang cow that I later discovered is the Highland Cow, found only in Scotland, too.

Ch.4: "Your Princess is in Another Castle"
Calling Castle Eidenburg epic doesn't do it justice. An armory, dungeon, clock tower, glass case with crown jewels, stone of destiny and the most beautiful sword (Sword of the State) I have ever seen! A thousand year old 16 seater church to boot. Micky D's never tasted so good after all that walking.
